If the world started over, we’d gather around a campfire and tell stories.

That is how I approach my creative work, exploring the intersection of brands, sociology, and mythology to understand what moves people.

My name is Trenton Sullivan. I’m a creative director, multidisciplinary artist, and environmentalist. As a director, I draw from psychology, marketing, and cinema to shape how brands express meaning. I view commercials as the digital medium that projects our collective subconscious, capturing the emotional, political, and cultural pulse of our time. As an artist, I explore the relationship between humans, objects, and environments, inviting reflection on our internal needs versus external wants. My artwork acts as the counterpoint to my commercial practice, an effort to reduce materialism and restore appreciation for what already exists in the natural world.

I studied film and psychology at Pasadena City College, where I was nominated for two awards and won Best Cinematography for a documentary on gentrification.

Early in my career, I combined my passion for community and filmmaking to help startups and local gyms in the health and fitness space. By working closer with the business, I learned how engagement and KPIs directly influenced growth, giving me a perspective on the value of content rather than seeking trends.

In 2020, I joined The Shoe Surgeon as an Art Director, where I developed and articulated the brand’s story across fashion and sneaker culture. I pitched and directed strategic campaigns for clients such as Gucci, Oakley, Jack Daniels, and New Balance, managing relationships and overseeing creative output across all media platforms. My role connected luxury craftsmanship with cultural relevance, positioning the brand as a leader at the intersection of art, design, and fashion.

In 2022, I founded SPACES, a creative consulting agency and production company built to expand my commercial practice into immersive brand experiences. SPACES connects brands and communities through creative direction, event activations, and 360° media production, tailoring teams and talent to each project’s cultural and emotional context. We’ve partnered with Nike (Well Collective) and Salomon (Running) to design activations that merge product storytelling with environmental awareness, producing film, photography, and event experiences that deepen audience connection and brand identity.

That same year, I was hired by Hewlett-Packard to lead creative direction for the video production teams behind their gaming brands, HyperX and OMEN. Here, I built an internal creative agency model, managing multi-million-dollar production budgets, directing a cross-disciplinary team, and shaping creative strategy across product marketing, esports, and global campaigns. My work has been featured in Times Square, CES, and international esports tournaments.
